About Yesi

Yesi Ortiz was born and raised in Orange County, Yesi Grew up with a major interest and passion for music. This brought her to study broadcasting. While music served her as an escape, her charisma and charm landed her an on-air time slot in Las Vegas just after 6 months in school. She spent two years in Las Vegas before landing a position at a new San Diego radio station, based out of Tijuana Mexico, where she would rock the mic from 7 to Midnight. During this transition Yesi would make a decision that would change her life forever. Her older sister lost custody to her 6 children forced in the foster care system, she began the fight to legally take custody of all children. An emotional 2-year battle with the court system she was awarded all 6 children. A new position also came with this glorious news’, Yesi would became the new co-host of AJ’s Playhouse in San Diego at Channel 933. The children became apart of the show and a bitter-sweet good-bye would come after 2 years as Yesi was offered a mid-day position at Power 106. A job she only dreamed about. She currently balances a full-time career as a professional in the media industry and as a full-time parent.

Yesi is building her own empire, Isey Productions, where she does voiceovers for other clients, radio stations and in 2011 created and executive produced her 1st documentary “Single w/7” which aired on both the STYLE network and Mun2.


Yesi is known for her mid-day show from 10a to 3p, that includes, the Power Party Mix at Noon along with Power Mixer Dj Reflex, The New @ 2 with Dj Felli Fel and was recently promoted to Assistant Music Director. Yesi is building her own empire, Isey Productions, where she does voiceovers for other clients, radio stations and in 2011 created and executive produced her 1st documentary “Single w/7” which aired on both the STYLE network and Mun2. Yesi has appeared in numerous TV shows that include the fame-spanish television show, Sabado Gigante, KTLA channel 5 news, American Latino on ABC and Latin Nation on KCAL-9. Yesi also appears on 2 different web-shows, Maria Menounos presents: After BuzzTv and The Mixshow.com ‘s Fresh Out The Box. She is an amazing role model to women, she believe’s that anything is possible as long as you embrace God, your talents and keep pushing forward.“ Her numerous charity work, has received her recognition with the City of Los Angeles, La Opinion, receiving a “Mujeres Destacadas 2011” award, as well as being recognized as Adoptive Parent of the Year through the county of Orange.  Success is a continuous battle of hard work just to achieve greatness” – (Yesi Ortiz).
